Check out the new book from our friend John B. Ciochetty entitled "Ghosts of Historic Delaware, Ohio"

"The infamous Vaudeville ghost that still puts on a show at the Strand Theatre, the mischievous, piano-playing poltergeists of the Arts Castle and the bearded ghoul that speeds at a hellish pace down North Franklin Street in a horse-drawn carriage---these are the otherworldly denizens of Delaware, Ohio. John Ciochetty's collection of haunted lore will have skeptics and believers alike looking over their shoulders as they walk down the darkened streets. Join Ciochetty as he explores and uncovers the other side of Delaware, Ohio to discover its spine-tingling, haunted
history."

The Future Of Ghostly Talk From Scott L's Side Of The Fen...

As I type this, I have been working since 5 AM on a Saturday morning. A little break in the action, brings you this update. Almost a year ago Ghostly Talk went on an "indefinite hiatus". We really felt at the time that Ghostly Talk in its present state was not fulfilling to us how we thought it should be. I can speak for all of us by saying that we miss doing the show. A lot has changed, however, for the three of us over the last year. As for myself, I have been very busy working. I also was elected against my better judgment onto the board of directors for my condo association. On top of that, I am also looking to buy another house pretty soon. Pretty anticlimactic, huh?

My philosophy has always been "If you can't do it 190%, then don't do it at all." That is how I personally feel about Ghostly Talk nowadays. I won't BS you guys, like I said, a lot has changed with all of us and I really do not see Ghostly Talk coming back on the air now. We had several ideas for what we wanted to do moving forward, but they just didn't pan out. All the things listed above came into play and I well, I have some new priorities now. The most important thing to me about Ghostly Talk now are my 2 friends Doug & Bonnie. We could take everything we have done on the show, throw it in a 50 gallon drum, pour gas on it and set it on fire and it would not matter to me. That is not a statement of spite towards our show, but rather to make the point that Ghostly Talk is and was never a product. It was something a group of people at a certain point in time decided to get together and do, and that is it. It's what you got out of it for yourself you should cherish. If it wasn't for Ghostly Talk, I would have never met Doug or Bonnie. If it wasn't for Ghostly Talk, I would have never met the love of my life Amberrose. If it wasn't for Ghostly Talk, well frankly, my life probably would have been a whole lot different and I am certain for the worse. There is not enough gasoline on the planet to burn that up.

It is hard nowadays for me at least, because I do have moments of inspiration, but it seems to fizzle out like a match as fast as it came over me. I don't know what that means. It could mean I have developed a short attention span. It could mean, I am just getting old, or it could mean I just don't care anymore. To be active in the paranormal is much different than it was 10 years ago and I think that is why it is damn near impossible to get inspired about anything in the field for me at least. I still wonder a lot about doing real deep research into something and think how cool that would be, but then something else will take over and the thought is gone. Kinda sad really, but I have to say I enjoy just being a person now. While I am kept busy with other things nowadays, it is nice to be a enthusiast for a change, weather it be the paranormal, music, or whatever.

We had an absolute ball at the Mothman Festival a few weekends ago! For me, it was the first time I actually got to see the festival and hang out in many years. We were always too busy doing the speaker thing or MCing to enjoy ourselves really. But we were with friends who we would have never met if it wasn't for Ghostly Talk. That is what I care about....not rubbing shoulders with semi-famous people, or being featured on someone's blog. It means nothing at the end of the day.

All I can really say at this point is thank you, thank you, thank you to anyone who ever cared or helped us out in the past. There are a lot of you and trust me it made it all worth it every week we were on the air. I don't really know what the future holds...? This is just me talking here, my point of view on the situation, and I know it has been few and far between in the last year that you have heard from us (sorry about that). But you guys and gals deserve something for sticking it out here, sorry it isn't better news. Feel free to send hate mail and death threats to scottl@ghostlytalk.com or you can harass me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/gtscottl and send me farmville requests of whatever, that's plenty of torture in and of itself. One thing is for sure.....you have not heard the last of me......muaaahahaahaahaah!! :) Later... -Scott L.

Doug & Scott L. @ 9th Annual Mothman Festival

If you are going to the 9th Annual Mothman Festival next weekend, look around and you may find us. We have pretty much boycotted any paranormal conference but the Mothman Festival is something totally different and near and dear to our hearts. We have been MCing the Mothman Festival speaker area for the last couple years but have stepped down and Frank & Laura from Spooktalkular are taking the ropes. We know they will do a great job!!

So come on down to Point Pleasant, WV. the weekend of September 18th & 19th to the 9th Annual Mothman Festival. It is sure to be a great time! :) -Scott L. :)

Ghostly Talk Paranormal Radio: A Silence That Speaks Volumes

What is becoming of the paranormal community? On the outside, the plethora of ghost reality shows on television and paranormal talk shows on the Web seem to hint that things have never been better. And yet, there are those who believe that our community has lost its way and is now more concerned with fame and fortune rather than serious research. So which side is more accurate? For now, I will choose to remain silent and simply say that, while many people were not aware of it, on October 18, 2009, something happened that speaks volumes as to the current state of the paranormal community?Ghostly Talk Radio went on indefinite hiatus.
