Morning Glory

Let's see how this goes...

Hello? Is anybody home?

It's been a while since the last couple of posts. A new hockey season is upon us and the Sabres are unbeaten so far. It's a good start.

We were pounded with a winter storm last weekend which knocked out power around the area. A freakish snow storm at best that dumped a few feet of wet powder, then quickly melted the next day.

Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

Too hot to type....

Happy 4th of July

As President Whitmore once said:

"Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

Oh, and Jay McKee is going to St. Louis.

Today

Blah.

Happy Birthday

Happy Belated Birthday to Jenvino!! Hope it was a day for the ages, and that you got the swimming towels together.

End of the line

What a wild ride.

Carolina gets the go ahead goal on the power play to take the series. With a depleted roster, and rotating only four defensemen the Sabres put forth a gallant effort and left it all on the ice. They've made believers out of a lot of bitter Buffalo fans. They taught us again the importance of hard work, belief in each other, and never quitting. I also learned how annoying Doug Weight is.

The good news? Training camp is right around the corner. See you in three months.

End of the Second

I think I just shit a brick.

What a finish to the period. Carolina controlled most of the play, but then Buffalo answered with two quick goals. The second came with three seconds left in the period. Now Carolina will come out swinging. Hopefully Buffalo can stay aggressive and keep up the pressure. Let's just hope they still have something left in their gas tank.

It's going to be a hell of a period.

End of the First

You could hear a pin drop. Carolina scores on a double deflection. Goes to show you that sometimes it's best to just throw the puck at the net. The Sabres had their chances, but just couldn't get the shot on goal. Now we get to listen to the OLN blowhards talk about what Carolina needs to do. That reminds me, what the hell is up with Brian Engblom's hair?

and it goes to game 7

After watching the Hurricanes and Sabres exchange blows for the past six games, we are about to enter the final round. Sabre nation proved last night that they "will not go quietly into the night."

Even if it is a quote from ID4.
