Number 19 had so much potential! Why did they have to cancel it?

Hrm?

From Friendster:

You and Amy have smooth sailing ahead.
There are many paths to and many different forms of enlightenment, if that's what you're seeking. Fortunately, you have a companion who's looking for answers about the same kinds of things that matter to you, and you two have similar methods when it comes to investigating them as well. It's so nice to have company when you're looking for the big answers. It's even nicer when together you can provide a fresh perspective that you couldn't have come up with by yourself.

Inflection Point
The Computer/Internet == The Television/Cable

Oh...what the internet could be...alas, I feel it is going the way of the television. Thousands of channels but nothing to watch. It saddens me to think that such a great invention is slowly eroding away from what it was dreamt to be because it's very nature is destroying it. Anyone can produce content for the net and now we must sift throw thousands of pages of pure crap to get to the rich content. Google is great at helping you find what you are looking for but even it isn't perfect and things are only getting worse. I think someone should build a new network (maybe along side the current one?) and there should be someone in charge of organizing it as it grows (academia?) in a way that we wouldn't need to spend an entire day just to find something. Imagine a roadway where there were no police and no lanes just blacktop and everyone just drove where they wanted, when they wanted, how they wanted and corporations sold us cars that drove faster. How long would that last before cars piled up and people stopped driving and started taking something more intuitive like public transportation? Why do we allow then for the internet to be that way? Everyday the internet is being filled continuously with nonsense and we pay more money for a faster connection. I don't know maybe I am just frustated or maybe I am just dreaming but I wish we could start from scratch and rebuilt it, this time learning from the past.

P.S.

You can thank this article ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/04/18/bored_and_confused_by/ ) for inspiring me to rant this evening. All the while I myself contribute to the chaos that we call the net.

I'm Baaack!!!

So I am back to my blog and hopefully all will be well.
