Steve Webber doesn't have enough problems with whatever his secret is -- you know, the one we've been hearing about for eight months but never get any details.

Now something is about to happen that will take his mind off of his problems, mainly because he's about to encounter a bigger one. That would be the mother who sold him, Heather Webber, who returns to Port Charles to wreak more mayhem in the spring.

Robin Mattson will reprise her role as Heather. (Anyone remember when Cher's sister played Heather?) The last time we saw Mommie Dearest, she was trying to kill Edward Quartermaine. You know Heather. She has great plans but usually goofs them up. How many people can say they used Shadybrook as a country club?

General Hospital will soon look like old home week.

Rick Springfield, who plays Patrick's and Matt's father, Dr. Noah Drake, will be back in March for a few episodes. Noah was last in town in 2008 but left to go to rehab. He also played the part of rock star Eli Love, who dallied with Anna Devane's affections.

General Hospital hit all-time lows for the week of January 16-20, dropping to dead last in every single category.

While some blame the show's horror lead-in, others say that OLTL viewers are not watching GH, and others still -- and these are in the majority - blame the story arcs currently on GH and the aura of depression that permeates the show.

Ron and Frank, work your magic. At this point, General Hospital needs nothing short of a miracle.

General Hospital oldies but goodies, and our guest stars from One Life to Live will soon be wending their way to Port Charles.

Finola Hughes (Anna) will be the first to debut, on February 13. Tristan Rogers arrives on February 27.

Ms. Starr Manning (Kirsten Alderson) will be in Port Charles beginning the week of February 20th. Roger Howarth and Kassie DePaiva appear on the 27th. And Michael Easton? Not until March.

Despite rumors, Melissa Archer (Natalie) is not making the trip from Llanview to PC.

Van Hughes (Cole) will be on GH very briefly the week of February 20.

Sonny referenced this film today while talking with Johnny, referring to it as "that Jack Nicholson thing."

Different circumstances, of course, as Johnny learns today that Claudia is not his sister after all, but his mother, and that rather than Anthony being his father, it's Gino Soleito.

Before it was acceptable to have a baby out of wedlock, it was not unusual for someone to learn that their aunt or sister was really their mother. It actually did happen to Jack Nicholson in real life, as well as singer Bobby Darin. I suspect in the case of the Zaccharas, Anthony possibly encouraged this liaison as some sort of appeasement to another mob boss. We will find out soon enough.

It was an event-filled show today, with Robin and Patrick having an emotional confrontation in an excellent scene, as well as a wedding and Sonny breaking the news to Johnny. Also, Sam and Jason go to GH for a paternity test.

On Friday's General Hospital, we had the big buildup to what Sonny now has on Johnny and his father. So GH is finally jumping the shark. Will that info help Luke stop Tracy's wedding to Anthony? Or isn't he going to stop it?
