First off thanks to Josh Dura for doing a great job on design and going above and beyond of what was asked. And anothre thanks to both him and his brother for their hosting services. Now the tour: Lets start off with my child, the right-hand side. There were two things I wanted to accomplish. One I wanted a sense of awareness and personality, when people come to my blog I want them to feel as if they know me....

The New Macromedia.com - UPDATED
Ok according to Mike Chambers it was just a test, so some of us got a preview. Sorry! I will post again when it is for real.

Jeremy Allaire
Christian has just reported on Jeremy moving onto new challenges. I don't doubt that he will still play a huge role in Macromedia, and Flash. I know of him working with many companies pushing the technology. I am not sure who has the capability to fill his shoes, If you have ever met Jeremy you will know that he is a unique person who has an amazing sense of not only the products but that which fuels them. Don't be a stranger Jeremy! Oh and don't forget to check out what Jeremy has to say.

Back in Action
I am home now, still busy as anything but I will have time to do some posts. I caught up a little on other blog posts when I got back and I noticed that mesh mentioned that the DRK documentation is online. http://www.markme.com/mesh/archives/000765.cfm Be sure to read these because as a developer of components for the DRK I know how hard, boring and tedious it is for a developer to document :). Seriously it is a good resource to see what the components have to offer so check it out. Peter Hall made a DTD for the custom actions file which was sorely needed. I know this from my experience making the AS2UML parser for gmodeler. There was just too much bad xml to continue accounting for every little thing. I haven't checked out the DTD myself, just read about it. But I will be trying to see if my custom actions passes. http://www.peterjoel.com/blog/index.php?archive=2003_02_02_archive.xml#88399687

Traveling this week
I will be in Boston from the 26th to the 31st. I don't think this will affect my blog posts, but it may. Well I am off to bed I have a flight at 7:30am (ouch) and with the airports these days and all my devices...and aluminum casing...they tend to search me 5 times over. I don't blame them, better safe than sorry. Plus the airports have mainly all hired very polite people that treat you like a person. The previous ones they had were rediculous. Goodnight!

xbox vga box, crap?
Definately. I just received my $60 (includes shipping) xbox vga box from somewhere in Hong Kong. It really sucks. When running my montior through it, it ghosts all my images. When running the xbox through it ghosts all the images and has visible gaps in the resolution. Below is a picture of it.

If you can't tell, its in the trash. I am going to try a usb/rca capture setup next... This isn't Flash related but I know a lot of my fellow flasher's do enjoy playing xbox :).

Added FUIComponent
Just a quick note: I have added gmodeler xml output by AS2UML for FUIComponentClass to my little repository repository: http://radio.weblogs.com/0107886/gmodeler/
FUIComponentClass: http://radio.weblogs.com/0107886/gmodeler/FUIComponent.xml

Thanks to Jesse Warden for the MXP that installs the reference and Peter for doing the orginal documentation and pointing the mxp out.
