Dayton VA Medical Center officials on Monday are expected to announce the establishment of a new low-income senior housing unit for veterans and their families on the Dayton VA campus.

The painting "Slave Auction, Virginia" by Lefevre James Cranstone, 1862, will be part of "An American Turning Point: The Civil War in Virginia" at the Heritage Museum in Dayton this January.

Glenn Costie , former director of the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Popular Bluff, Mo., took the reigns Monday, according to a release.

Costie for the past three years has served as director of the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
