Three people are in custody after they were discovered Thursday morning allegedly stealing copper from the former Monte Sano plant near Guntersville, Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls said.

Douglas Police arrested two people before they started cooking methamphetamine. Officials arrested 44-year-old George McGuire, III and 32-year-old Jamie Mims for manufacturing meth and possession of precursor chemicals.

Two Marshall County residents are facing one and a half million dollars bonds after a traffic stop led police to find a meth lab in their vehicle.
