The American Legion Post 7 is again asking high school juniors from Carlsbad and Loving to apply for Boys State and Girls State.

Carlsbad High School's Troubadour singers and middle schools' student councils wowed Legislators and other state officials last week with their musical performance and keen interest in how legislation is made and passed.

That is how the presidents of Loving High School, the Middle School Student Senate and the Loving Student Council described their first visit to the State Capitol building and to Santa Fe on Thursday and Friday.
