KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police say Steptoe Street is blocked all the way from Gage to Tapteal because of a natural gas leak near the intersection of Steptoe and Arrowhead.

Steptoe Avenue is closed in west Kennewick because of a natural gas leak in the area, according to initial reports.

An Arizona man is currently in custody at Whitman County Jail after allegedly holding his estranged wife at gunpoint for half an hour before leaving the area after she convinced him not to kill her.

On Friday just before 7:00pm, deputies responded to a call in Steptoe where they learned from the victim that her estranged husband, armed with a handgun, had entered her home and threatened to kill her.
