Within his highly successful career, Tommy has studied his working milieu. After all, he is an expert in productivity and operations; his drive to improve both continually pushes him to challenge, experiment, and determine. Tommy has come to the realization that customary methods of corporate performance, at least in certain sectors, have become antiquated if not obsolete, particularly in his situation.
The franchise executive with 20 plus years of experience sits in his Home Office. It's 5:22 in the morning as he takes another sip of coffee. As usual he is planning his day, making sure that whatever happens at work today, insofar as he can influence, is going to be something productive; it is going to make the franchisor and the company just a little better, just a little stronger than it was yesterday - or 15 minutes ago, for that matter.
Well, we sure hear an abundance of comments in the media about how important innovation is to our forward progress and economic prosperity in America. Indeed, there is a bit of truth to that, thus, my calling to promote innovation and also call upon others to do the same. Perhaps, I am preaching to the choir, as you are reading this article on innovation and you chose it for a reason.
One of the foundational principles of getting ahead is to be rich in wisdom, procure strength and confidence in execution. Consider wisdom as the right application of knowledge. Back to my story, as I became wiser in the business though knowledge, understanding and even my mistakes; I was making a sustained headway towards the million dollar goal. Nothing can replace wisdom in our human endeavors. The bible says, "Wisdom is the principal thing". It's the main thing, do you understand: If it is, then you should be seeking wisdom with all your heart.
Nature is lavish in her lessons. Nature displays the truths of life in the open book of her countless manifestations. The laws in the book of nature contain more eloquence than all the libraries in the world.
The other day, I was having an intellectual discourse with John Altmann, the modern day philosopher, perhaps you've heard of his work. Anyway, we got to talking about how our society seemed be dummying down a bit, and human education just was not meeting the future requirements of such a fast paced moving era. We reasoned that we need to find a way to teach people to think again, not just rote memorize information which for the most part will be irrelevant prior, upon, or just after graduation.

Every advanced civilization likes to believe that they have the world's best innovators, inventors, and thinkers. And it's nice to see so many people with so much pride in their respective nations. The reality is however, the United States of America is the most innovative nation in the entire world.
